Advocacy is at the heart of what we do--we address issues impacting vulnerable low-income residents and small business owners to create and innovate equitable, accessible, and sustainable solutions. Our Coalition's advocates and affiliate organizations work together in many ways to ensure that under-resourced neighborhoods have equitable housing and economic opportunities in communities throughout South Florida. The SFCDC plays an important and unique role in our ecosystem as a regional intermediary in providing a cross-sectoral platform for local nonprofits and mission-driven for-profits to discuss their policy needs. We advocate at the local and state level on those interconnected needs on their behalf while keeping them abreast on the latest impact of federal regulations and resources.
Coming soon! Below we will link resources, research, and data on various policies impacting our region.
As a member-led coalition, the SFCDC is a unifying voice across sectors and neighborhoods working towards innovation and sustainable solutions to meet the needs of the present and future. We encourage advocates interested in joining us to become a member to vote our on policy priorities and agenda. Join us today!
Small Business Advocacy
We are rethinking what it means to grow and believe in regeneration not gentrification. We are working together to eliminate vulnerabilities for residents and small businesses--particularly immigrants and BIPOC--to protect and preserve the character of our historic neighborhoods.
We believe a sustainable community manages its human, natural, and financial capital to meet current needs while ensuring adequate resources are available for future generations. It takes a long-term perspective – focusing on anticipating and adapting to change.
