Q3 Small Business Advocacy Roundtable

This Q3 convening will explore systemic issues and policies, and their effect on economic justice and opportunities on Miami-Dade’s small businesses, predominantly those in communities of color. 

Format for this roundtable is to hear from policy makers and advocates from a state and local level to create a framework overview for discussion of what we collectively do to realize more effective policy and action in creating economic equity and justice in historically disenfranchised communities of color.  In this roundtable and the Q4 roundtable, discussions will be developed into actionable policy recommendations and activations.

Topics discussed in the Q2 Roundtable such as strategies to prevent small business anti-displacement, models for employee ownership and cooperatives, opportunities for increased small business development services, negotiating community benefit agreements that strengthen community economies, and access to capital are going to be  discussed further in this Q3 Roundtable.
