Mission 

Our mission is to engage, educate, and empower the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to champion comprehensive development that supports the creation of affordable housing and economic development to achieve social and economic justice. 

Vision

We envision a South Florida region that is resilient, prosperous, and equitable for all communities.




What is South Florida?

We consider the South Florida region to be the Miami--Ft. Lauderdale--West Palm Beach metropolitan statistical area (MSA), code 33100, as defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (updated July 2023). It entails three MSA Divisions: 

  • 22744 Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Sunrise, FL Metropolitan Division Broward County
  • 33124 Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall, FL Metropolitan Division Miami-Dade County
  • 48424 West Palm Beach-Boca Raton-Delray Beach, FL Metropolitan Division Palm Beach County

Principal Cities: Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, Sunrise, Deerfield Beach, Miami Beach, Kendall (unincorporated), Doral, Delray Beach, Jupiter (town), Palm Beach Gardens

What is Community Development?

Community development is an interdisciplinary and intersectional professional field spanning across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors and dedicated to building communities and developing assets that benefit everyone. This includes:

      • Land Use & Urban Planning
      • Public & Participatory Decision-Making
      • Public Transit, Connectivity, & Walkability

What is a Coalition?

A coalition is an alliance of diverse stakeholders working together for a common goal. It is an adaptive and iterative form of collaborating under shared values and vision to drive collective action where each everyone plays an active role throughout the process. We co-design, co-create, and co-produce solutions for the benefit of all.
