2023 Fellowship program

SFCDC is proud to help cultivate the next generation of local community development practitioners and advocates. In 2023, we are launching a new Fellowship program for college students in undergrad or grad school as well as young professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in our local ecosystem. This program is designed to provide real world experience to develop soft and technical skills that are transferable and valuable to pursuing a career in community development or the nonprofit sector.

We will accept 3-5 fellows per semester who will work with our coalition approximately 10-15 hours per week over a 12-16 week period, depending on applicants capacity and the organizations needs. Fellows are able to apply for specific roles based on their interest, skills, and background. In addition to their roles where each fellow will gain hands-on real world experience working in a nonprofit environment, the fellows have the opportunity to work on specific projects to help advance our mission. These projects can be customized to fit course or program capstone requirements if needed. Fellows are also able to audit our training workshops to learn from our existing programs (which may not qualify towards fellowship hours, terms and conditions apply).
