Overview

The South Florida Community Development Coalition (SFCDC) is a policy advocacy coalition building collective action to advance comprehensive community development for social justice. Towards that end, we host policy roundtables to review priorities and solutions that address our most pressing local needs in three core issue areas: housing affordability, economic mobility and stability, and community and environmental resilience.

Our resiliency policy roundtables are focused on highlighting and integrating sustainability and conservation in our community development practices in ways that allow our collective quality of life to endure and overcome shocks and stressors. This encompasses a wide range of topics including but not limited to: green spaces, building efficiency, disaster preparedness, heat mitigation, public transportation and walkability, and climate justice.

Event Details (see program flow here)

Join us for the Q2 Resiliency Policy Roundtable as we host a cross-sectoral panel of local leaders and key stakeholders to provide an overview of the issue area covering state, county, and municipality purviews. Engage in the conversation to determine exactly what resiliency means to us locally in our collective community development efforts. We aim to refine and reinforce these discussions to develop actionable plans and advocacy strategies to support existing campaigns more collaboratively or build new collective action where gaps may linger.
