Our community resilience roundtables are focused on highlighting and integrating a sustainability lens in our community development practices in ways that allow our collective quality of life to endure and overcome shocks and stressors. This encompasses a wide range of topics including but not limited to: green spaces, building efficiency, disaster preparedness, heat mitigation, public transportation and walkability, and climate justice.

This third quarter, we've invited three guest presenters: 

Sonia Sucar Ferre - Strategic Advisor, Adrienne Arsht Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center
Also President of Futura Climate Consulting and Chair of the City of Miami Forever Bond

Nathan Kogon - Assistant Director of the Regulatory and Economic Resources, Miami Dade County
Insight on recent Rapid Transit Zone (RTZ) legislation and land use/transportation incentives for affordable housing

Sonia Brubaker - Chief Resilience Officer, City of Miami
Share new vision and priorities on "being able to recover from environmental impacts quickly (resilience) and maintain high quality of life over the long term (sustainability)"
