Miami-Dade County's Climate Action Strategy is meant to help us adapt to the threats of climate change. But we believe -- and county leaders agree -- that residents should be meaningfully included in the conversations. Further, low-wealth neighborhoods and communities of color, which already experience the worst impacts of climate change, must have a seat at the table.

That's why we partnered with Catalyst Miami, Miami-Dade County, and community members to develop the Our County, Our Climate Action framework. It's a guide for local government with specific ways to make civic efforts more inclusive and participatory.

Join our Town Hall on January 21 in which county leaders, including Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Chief Resilience Officer Jim Murley, will respond and commit to this framework.
